About Thread

Welcome to Thread, where we break away from the confines of traditional physical therapy practices. Unlike many practices limited by insurance requirements that focus solely on injured body parts, we believe that movement is a complex interplay of the entire body's optimal functioning.

At Thread, we recognize that the body retains the remnants of old injuries, sometimes manifesting as weakness or stiffness. Over time, we compensate and develop new movement patterns to navigate our daily lives. While this adaptation may work well initially, it can eventually lead to limitations. That's where Thread's unique model of one-to-one care with a doctor of physical therapy comes into play. We provide in-depth movement analysis and individualized interventions to break down faulty movement patterns, establish new ones, and expand your movement repertoire.

Central to our understanding of movement is the intricate myofascial system. Composed of fascia, connective tissue, and muscle fibers, these threads interweave throughout our body, uniting and supporting every movement and function. Just as our physical bodies rely on this myofascial system, human connection and communication form the threads that shape our social interactions. Our relationships help us comprehend ourselves, find meaning, and build communities.

This is the framework upon which Thread's practice is built. We take the time to perform a comprehensive head-to-toe assessment to truly grasp the way your body moves. Our approach integrates all aspects of health, including sleep, nutrition, and stress management, into your tailored treatment plan. By addressing these facets holistically, we can remove barriers that hinder your full potential, preventing unnecessary surgeries and injections that can be emotionally taxing. Whether you are at the beginning or advanced stages of your movement journey, Thread is here to optimize your health and movement, enabling you to focus on what brings you fulfillment.

Founder & Physical Therapist

Thread was born out of my frustration with playing the insurance and worker's comp game, where I felt constrained and unable to provide the level of care I knew my patients deserved. I couldn't comprehend how I was expected to juggle multiple patients at once and, even worse, restrict treatment to just the injured body part. In my eyes, it's not about isolated body parts; it's about treating the whole body as a unified entity.

My journey in physical therapy has constantly revealed the awe-inspiring potential of our bodies. I've delved into the realms of movement education, discovering ways to unlock human potential. And now, I'm thrilled to share that knowledge with you. My physical therapy education evolved alongside my passion for climbing, shaping my perspective on what movement truly entails. Climbing demands a vast array of movements, which has ingrained in me the importance of variability. By providing our bodies with diverse movement experiences, we adapt to our surrounding environments. And with adaptation comes enhanced efficiency and performance.
